What Steve Bannon really wants |
By Gwynn Guilford & Nikhil Sonnad 2017-02-23
Bannon's theory is not self-consistent: The crisis of capitalism is rooted in itself, i.e., in capital's domination of labor and unfair distribution of business profits without universal effective check-and-balance by organized labor, which inevitably led to the growth of monopoly capital, which cannot develop without exporting capital to all corners of the globe (globalization) just as President Trump and his family have been doing, all of which runs counter to Christain values of equality and neighborly love. -- The New Legalist editor |

Suppressing free press is 'how dictators get started': Senator McCain |
By Reuters 2017-02-21
Mainstream US press today is not "free" of monopoly capital interests (nor is the Trump administration) and it is not wrong to point out as a personal view that it is “the enemy of the American people”. So long as no state power is resorted to to censor it, to point out a fact does not amount to "suppression of free press" while it is proper to remind the president to be aware of his double identity both as head of the state and as an individual citizen. -- The New Legalist editor |
