II Speeches on Self Healing
Busy travelling around the world promoting Paida and Lajin self-healing methods, Mr. Xiao could not attend the conference despite the organizer’s repeated warm welcome. Nonetheless, he sent several of his students to attend, and greeted the guests in a short video shot in Hamburg, Germany.

Guests from home and abroad listened attentively, and soft clapping sounds could be heard now and then.
Ellen Zhang made a bilingual speech (Mandarin and English) on behalf of Mr. Xiao and E-Tao team, introducing the theory and features of Paida and Lajin, and the amazing self-healing results of practitioners worldwide. She also passed on Mr. Xiao’s message of warm welcome to medical experts and scientists both home and abroad, inviting them to do research, follow-up study of and practice Paida and Lajin self-healing methods, to join hands with us to improve the theory and practice, and jointly make contributions to the development of natural therapies and improvement of man’s health.
Fei Schmitz, a Chinese artist living in Germany, is also a practitioner and promoter of Paida and Lajin self-healing methods. At the WOMDA conference, she was invited to speak as an international delegate. She spoke of how she helped her Mom, now at 89, to self heal over 13 diseases, including heart disease, hypertension, bone loss, neck and stomach problems. Her Mom used to take 42.5 tablets of Chinese and western medicine each time, three times a day, and now, after over three years of practice, she is quite healthy. Fei exclaimed that “the power of love is immeasurable, unimaginable.”
With this love for her family, Fei has passed on it to others — she has organized quite a few self-healing seminars, 18 self-healing classes, organized or participated in 6 workshops in Germany and Switzerland, with participants from Germany, Switzerland, U.K., U.S., Spain, Luxemburg, South Africa, etc. She has personally imparted the self-healing methods to over 200 people, 80% of whom have been persistent in their practice and 100% are reported effective. Over 1,000 people bought from her the German edition of Paida and Lajin Self-Healing Handbook and numerous people have thus benefited.

III The African delegation’s Paida and Lajin story
The South African government sent a four-member delegation led by the chief medical advisor of the president to attend the WOMDA conference, and they shared their experience of promoting Paida and Lajin in South Africa.
Msukeni Johan Zuma (left), brother of the president of South Africa, came specially to seek Oriental holistic treatment options for the nation. This is a relay from their local language, to English and to Chinese; it is also a relay of love, coming with good hopes from a distant land to China, and returning with loads of “fruits”.
“What excites me most is Paida and Lajin.” said Mr. Axel von Gerlach, “We will apply for a special grant from the National Youth Development Agency and establish a Paida and Lajin Foundation. I’m very much excited about the prospects of relieving the health problems of the African people.”
He also said, “I wish I could make the Government of China want to promote TCM, and the best of TCM is Paida and Lajin, worldwide. It is the most valuable export China could give to the world. (It) could also be developed into a large Chinese export industry.”
Tshidi sharing her “miracle healer” experience
When she first heard about Paida and Lajin, 28-year-old Matshediso Consolation Dinku (Tshidi) also had some doubts, “How can something so simple heal diseases? Is it really as amazing as it claims to be?”
Then she heard about her Mom’s sickness — she was scheduled to have her bladder cut NINE days later. She had to try her luck, so she asked her mom to do Paida and Lajin, and her mom did it day and night, whenever she had time, she could stretch 3-4 hours a day. Nine days later, when they went to the hospital, they were told that the surgery was no longer necessary! Later on, her mom also self healed high blood pressure and arthritis with Paida and Lajin.
After that, she did Paida and Lajin at Naledi Community Hall in Soweto with 19 participants. One diabetic patient who was practically blind regained her sight. Seeing the amazing results, she took it to the Soweto Old Age Home, where the elderly were very frail and sick, with lots of diseases including High Blood Pressure, stroke, diabetes and back pains, difficulty walking, bronchitis, and some of them were in wheelchairs. At first, she didn’t think Paida and Lajin would be as effective. But she was wrong. (Related Story: Bringing Paida and Lajin to Africa)
For her great love and effective promotion of the self healing methods, Tshidi was nominated the National Youth Award in the health and wellness category. She is now working for the establishment of a self-healing center where she will train youths to be Paida and Lajin instructors and healers.
The African delegation got fully involved in the many Paida and Lajin parties during the conference, and repeatedly invited Mr. Hongchi Xiao and his team to visit South Africa, Lesotho and other African countries and promote self-healing methods there.
IV International Paida and Lajin Gala
An international Paida and Lajin party was unveiled on the evening of May 18. Delegates joyfully attended it, and readily enjoyed the “torture” of stretching on the Lajin bench and the pain of Paida. Some clapped, discussed or asked, “What is it that comes out of my skin?” “How come our Sha colours look different?” “Would you like me to give you some nice slaps?”
“Let me get on a Lajin bench before others arrive.”
“Look over here.”
“You are having serious tendon contraction.” says Tshidi.
“Look how perfectly I am doing it.” “There is still a long way to go, your arms are not yet rested on the bench surface.”
“So I can slap the armpits?”
Delegates from China, Germany and South Africa clapping elbows together.
Oneness of body and mind
Mr. Sebonomoea Ramainoane, a chief from Lesotho, Africa, was enjoying Paida. He felt numbness on the left hand side since 1983, during the Paida, he could feel warmth and blood flow; After Paida, the numbness was much relieved. He started the “Heal Yourself Programme” right after he returned to Lesotho, and one month later, now he sends us good news: people with HBP, diabetes, heart disease, eye problem and gynaecological disorders have found Paida and Lajin quite effective in relieving or curing their problems with just 1.5 hours’ practice each day.
Enjoying some more Paida after dinner
“Look, Sha is coming out.”
“Let’s see who has more Sha.”
Enjoying the art of attentive Paida with regular breathing and a tranquil heart
The photographer had his 8-month frozen shoulder relieved with one session of Paida.
An eye patted, after which the skin around it became tighter.
Mr. Zuma self healed diabetes with Paida and Lajin, but he still felt discomfort with his eyes. Fei helped him very gently pat the head and eyes and it relieved his eye problem.
Prof. Wang Weigong from Taiwan proposed patting the elbows instead of clapping hands to show agreement or to cheer for others.
Paida is GREAT!
V International Paida and Lajin coach Axel
Alex has been sparing no efforts in promotion of Paida and Lajin. He brought Paida and Lajin to South Africa, and is preparing a self healing center. At the WOMDA conference, he explained to the guests the philosophy of self healing with Paida and Lajin, show the postures, and shared the truth of “no pains, no gains”.
Helping out while explaining
“Having pain already? Your leg is not wrapped up yet!”
“Your body needs to lie straight on the bench.”
“Clap harder.”
“Paida, like Indian therapies, is a natural therapy.”
“There is also ‘wall-hitting’ method.”
“Do some wall-hitting when you feel tired, you will then feel light and happy.”
“While stretching in the squat position, you can ask someone to gently pat your back.”
“Look, this is the Y-style Lajin.”
“Let me help you move the buttocks into position.”
“Hey, Axel, do you want to lie on the cool floor forever? Just get up, they’ve got it.”
